Our Story
Ten years ago I opened a new company to serve couples as a full-time San Francisco City Hall wedding photographer. Over time, I realized that the majority of my couples were coming in from out of town and they didn't know who to choose for their other vendors, but I didn't have packages that offered more than photography. Every week I was inventing solutions for couples who wanted an elevated experience and over time I crafted packages that became all-inclusive weddings with top vendors that I hand-picked myself. These couples knew they didn't want the cost or stress of a big wedding, but they didn't want to sacrifice all of the traditional aspects either. They wanted to elope, or have an intimate wedding and were searching for exciting options. What could I present to them that was a perfect blend, no matter what size wedding they wanted?
After working with hundreds of couples in the last decade, I knew I had to create The Effortless Wedding. Four simple steps from planning to enactment, so you can get hitched without a hitch! Offering unique wedding experiences with our partners for indoor or outdoor weddings that are cool AF. We are dedicated to the idea that your wedding should be joyful, fun, and not just like anybody else's. All three areas that we serve, are places that I'm personally connected to, with teams I already know.
After a decade of owning a leading San Francisco City Hall wedding photography company, I decided I wanted to build on that transformational experience and create another company that offered the type of weddings that nobody else was doing. Those concepts were based on requests from my real wedding couples. They had needs that weren't being met, and I decided I was really excited about being the person who helped them have the day they dreamed about. I didn't want my couples to have to take a year or more to plan their weddings, I wanted to it be a very natural and elegant system to go from contacting us, to showing up to their effortless wedding. Outside of the wedding world, my partner and I volunteer with Mutville Senior Dog Rescue and love spoiling our ginger cats Valentino and Sebastian and feral rescue Mr. Turnip. Fitness, friends and adventure is our happy place.
FAQs
What do you offer besides wedding photography?
We can help you fully plan your tiny wedding. Generally we offer wedding photography as well as wedding officiants to enact your ceremony. We have long standing relationships with hair and make up artists, and flower vendors in each of the communities we serve. If you need recommendations for catering or restaurants, and rentable items, just let us know. If there's anything else that you need help finding, please ask.
Do you require a booking deposit? How do we pay that? Date Change?
Yes, we do ask for a small deposit to claim your date. Deposits are not refundable, but there is no fee to change your date. Deposits do not expire. You may use a deposit towards another type of session, like an engagement, maternity or family photo session if your plans change. You will be emailed a contract from our online booking system, and it will walk you through filling in your wedding details and making your deposit with a major credit card.
How many photos will I receive and when do I get them?
This depends on which package you choose and how many hours you have booked with us. More hours equals more edits! We don't have a set limit, basically we edit everything that's the best of the bunch. Two to three weeks is a normal estimate during high season. We do our best to adhere to that timeline, however sometimes we take slightly longer. If you have a project that must be completed sooner, such as a slideshow for a reception, or elopement announcement, please give us advance notice.
Will I own the rights to my photographs? How will I receive my gallery?
Your images will be delivered via an online gallery to your private email. You will be able to download your full high res gallery to your own computer and order high quality prints and heirloom keepsakes directly from this page. It's so easy.
Do you edit the images?
Yes, all of our images are edited for color correction, exposure, and a whole bunch of other digital magic. We do not automatically offer extreme body modification, such as neck lifting or waist slimming, but we do have an editor on the team that can do that for a reasonable editing fee that goes directly to him. (within our technical ability) Blemish or scar removal we can include if you request it ahead of time. We do not use watermarks.
Can we have our pet at the wedding?
We are always thrilled to have this question posed to us. YES! We'd encourage you to make your fur kid part of the wedding day and can offer helpful tips to make their day and yours, as stress free and easy as possible. We have planned and photographed many weddings with dogs, cats and horses in attendance. Safety is our number one priority for your furry family member.
