There was a plan. A very good plan, and it covered everything that was important to L and A. The day started with L having her hair and make up done nearby at her mothers home by our team of artists at BFab Mobile Beauty, and her custom bouquet was delivered to her from Fresh 4 Us florist in San Francisco. They needed a beautiful, outdoor, historic spot with "wow factor" for their small family wedding. They also wanted expansive views and plenty of social distancing from people that weren't part of their party.

We were to meet at the Legion Of Honor Museum. Our groom was a big fan of the romantic Lovers Lane, "Andrew Goldsworthy art installation" with zig zagging logs on part of the trail. They'd taken their engagement pictures there and wanted to go full circle with their wedding session! This was probably the most tender part of the photo session as they connected with each other in the quiet forest, with filtered beams of sunlight streaming through the eucalyptus and redwood trees, reminiscing about their engagement session there and how far they had come since that first set of couples pictures had been taken. The Legion Of Honor Museum, which was not open for museum visitors day, was the ideal spot for their intimate wedding ceremony.

Their dear friend got ordained to marry them and did a really great job, there was definitely laughter and happy tears as stories were told that only a friend could tell. We have our own officiant that usually performs our weddings, but sometimes family friends that have known you intimately through all the seasons of your relationship, can really bring deep emotion and connection to the experience. Though they might not be as polished, the authenticity adds a lot of value to the ceremony. The fact that the museum isn't having visitors now, means that we had the whole front of the building with it's stunning white marble columns and it's perfectly manicured large green lawn, ALL to ourselves! There's also a ton of free parking, which in the city, is a rare gift. Even when the property is open, it's still more private and quiet than other public landmarks like the Palace Of Fine Arts, which is the more commonly used free and public elopement venue.

I'll write another blog post on the Palace in the near future. The ceremony was completed and sealed with a kiss, family photos and champagne toasts behind them, A and L strolled hand and hand to pearl their vintage white wedding bus. Not only had she been the perfect helper for their first touch and first look photos, (a first touch is when you torture the groom *just* a little bit longer before you let him see you all dolled up) but Pearl would ferry them around town in style, along with the brides sister who was hilarious. She has a really unique talent, and it definitely took the nervous jitters out of the day for everyone. You can give her a word, like "water" or "litterbox" and she would instantly sing a song with whatever theme you threw at her, and she can really sing! Will was shooting video with me and we tried SO hard to stump her, but we just couldn't. Not one time. Everyone loved Pearl and she's part of our adventure wedding packages. You can hire her and any of her six colorful sisters (pink, blue, orange and now yellow!) to take your whole party on your wedding photo tour and then off to dinner or even wine tasting in Napa or Sonoma on your wedding day. L and A had her take them to Lovers Lane and then the Lyon Street Steps for some birds eye views of SF and the experience of walking Millionaires Row, which is where all the mansions from the time of the gold rush barons were built. You can see Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace Of Fine Arts and a whole lot more from this one location. All of the photos ops and none of the mortgage!

They had a wonderful wedding day, from their intimate wedding ceremony to the epic photo tour of San Francisco landmarks, everything was checked off their wedding day wish list. Tell us what's on your wish list, and we'd be happy to create your perfect elopement or small wedding day, as only you can imagine it. That's what we do!
